Nashville Part 1 Ready to Reach by Inglath Cooper

October 15, 2012

Nashville Part I by Inglath Cooper is a novella which I couldn’t put down until I’d read all of it. Living in Tennessee and having grown up with country music, it resonated with me in a big way.

CeCe Mackenzie leaves Alabama in an old clunker left to her by her grandmother, hoping to pursue her dreams of a singing and song writing career in Nashville. When she and her dog, Hank Williams, Jr., are involved in an incident on the highway, it looks as though her plans may be dashed but fate intervenes. A Good Samaritan comes to her rescue along with his partner who has serious doubts of the wisdom of getting involved. The two men are going her way and are also hoping to carve out a niche for themselves in Music City. There are a number of twists and turns along the way that are sure to grip the reader and make them want more when this first part ends. The story is told from the point of view of CeCe and also Holden Ashford, who is a young man still missing his girlfriend back in Atlanta. In spite of that, there is an undeniable chemistry between these two. This book is for anyone who enjoys reading, loves music, and dogs.
